It's not always just the egg's fault.

Embryologist with microsocpe

We know that the quality of the eggs decreases with age. By that is meant that more and more eggs have DNA damage. In a woman who is 40 years old, only 1 in 10 eggs is normal. This is why it is more difficult to get pregnant with increasing age.

BUT this also happens in men. More and more sperm cells have DNA damage with increasing age and are therefore also to blame for missed pregnancies. Especially with poor fertilisation and embryo development, one must be aware of the man's sperm. Are they really as normal as they look?

Klinikk Hausken is investing these days in new advanced equipment that can investigate just this. This will help us to find the men who need special treatment and thus increase the chance of success.
