Dr Adrian Botea | Fertility & gynaecology

Dr Adrian Botea has a strong background, having worked in places including Haugesund, Bergen, Stavanger, and Tromsø. With his experience in gynaecological surgery and a broad history in fertility, Dr Adrian Botea brings valuable knowledge to our clinic in Porsgrunn. Dr. Adrian Botea specialises in gynaecology and obstetrics (Haugesund 2010). Dr. Botea completed his foundation training at Haugesund Hospital and has gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from his time there. Among other things, Dr Botea worked with and was mentored by the founders of Klinikk Hausken, Dr Jon W. Hausken, and Dr Arne Schwennicke. Furthermore, Dr Botea has significant experience from the Women's Clinic in Bergen, the University Hospital in Stavanger, and UNN in Tromsø. In Tromsø, Dr. Botea introduced laparoscopic hysterectomy during his tenure at UNN. In Skien, Dr Adrian Botea was responsible for Gynaecological Endoscopy at Telemark Hospital from 2015, where he spent a lot of time in the operating theatre for laparoscopy and robotic surgery. He developed considerable expertise in gynaecological surgery, performing complex operations almost daily. From the autumn 2021, Dr Botea worked at the Fertility Department South in Porsgrunn. He had a unique opportunity to work in the operating theatre, performing over 700 OPU and 700 ET/FET procedures there. This has resulted in many children being born to numerous families. Dr Adrian Botea thrives on new challenges and enjoys meeting committed couples and singles who aim to build a happy family.
